MEP Elena Kountoura is hosting at the European Parliament the informative hybrid event “Sustainable and Resilient Tourism: challenges and opportunities for Greece”.
Tourism has a multifaceted impact on the environment, the society and the economy, and acts as a multiplier in bringing growth to all productive sectors. At the same time, tourism has a key-role in achieving the targets set in the EU sustainability agenda and for empowering both destinations and local societies in becoming more resilient and prepared to address current and future crises.
Speakers from the European Parliament, international experts in tourism sustainability and national representatives from Greece’s political, business and tourism environment will address current challenges, priorities and opportunities for the European and Greek Tourism, in terms of building a more resilient and sustainable future for tourism and travel that will have a direct positive impact on visitors, businesses, workers and local communities.
